The treatment
Using a fine needle, the Rejuran solution is injected superficially into the skin. The polynucleotides stimulate the skin cells and activate the natural repair process. The treatment is quick and generally well tolerated.
Aftercare following polynucleotides
After the treatment, small bumps may be visible where the polynucleotides were injected. On the face, these usually disappear within 24 hours, while on the neck and décolleté this can often take 3 to 7 days. What to do after a polynucleotide (salmon DNA) treatment?
Good aftercare helps you get the best results from your treatment. Keep the following in mind:
- Massage: with Rejuran, intensive massage is not necessary (unlike some fillers and skinboosters). You may gently touch the skin during the first few days to relieve any sensitivity.
- Avoid heat: stay out of saunas and sunbeds for the first 24 to 48 hours and limit sun exposure.
- Rest: postpone strenuous activity or exercise for a while to limit swelling or bruising.
