What is PRF?
PRF stands for Platelet Rich Fibrin, an innovative skin treatment that uses your own platelets and growth factors. During the treatment, a small amount of your blood is drawn and then centrifuged to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. This plasma is rich in growth factors that play an important role in your skin’s repair and rejuvenation process.
PRF is a 100% natural treatment that can help improve skin texture, stimulate collagen and elastin production and support areas of volume loss. The PRF treatment
The PRF treatment consists of several steps, all carefully carried out by our doctors.
The first (free) consultation
Every PRF treatment starts with a free consultation. Together with the doctor, you discuss your wishes and expectations. The doctor analyses your skin and gives honest advice about the possibilities and results of PRF. There is no obligation, and you decide for yourself whether you want to go ahead with the treatment.
Preparing the treatment
During the treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn first. This blood is then centrifuged to separate the plasma from the red blood cells, leaving the plasma that is rich in growth factors. This plasma is used for the treatment.
The PRF injections
The plasma is injected under the skin, often in specific areas such as the tear troughs, nasolabial folds or marionette lines. The doctor uses a fine needle to distribute the plasma evenly across the face. The treatment usually takes no longer than 30 minutes and is generally well tolerated.
Aftercare following the treatment
After the treatment, your skin is soothed and cared for with calming products. You may experience some mild redness or sensitivity, but this is normal and usually disappears within a few hours. We advise you to protect the treated area well from the sun and to use the right skincare products.
