What do we use with Faceslimming?

When a muscle is excessively used, it will increase in strength and volume. This is seen with athletes and, to an extreme extent, with bodybuilders. Injecting botox into a muscle temporarily decreases or removes muscle activity. The reduced activity causes the muscle to be less needed and ultimately leads to a decrease in strength and volume. This technique is what we use for facial slimming, specifically the Faceslimming using Botox. This treatment preserves your natural appearance while creating a slimmer face.

The treatment: Faceslimming Botox

Your treatment begins with a consultation where you discuss your wishes with the doctor. The doctor will then provide honest advice and explain the expected results. If you decide to proceed with the treatment, the muscles are marked first. You are asked to make different facial expressions so that the doctor can see where the muscles under the skin are located. Then, the doctor injects Botox into the muscles using a fine needle. This process is repeated at multiple locations around the masseter. As a result, the muscles relax, creating a less visible jaw muscle and a slimmer face. During the Faceslimming procedure and the effectiveness of the botox, you can continue to use your jaw muscle normally. The botox is in full effect after two weeks. However, the reduction in muscle volume and strength takes longer and becomes visible after approximately a month. What to do after the treatment?

To achieve the optimal result, we recommend following these guidelines:

• Avoid lying flat or bending over for at least the first 2 hours.

• Avoid smoking, exercising, or drinking alcohol for 24 hours.

• Stay out of the sun or tanning bed for 2 weeks.

• Avoid saunas, spas, or hamams for 2 weeks.

• Avoid facial treatments, laser treatments, or peels for 2 weeks.
